Default VP Hurtz dig w/ MIP shaft problems

Hey Guys

I am running a Hurtz dig on my VP Incision chassis. Problem is that the servo for the dig is hitting my MIP driveshafts.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Mine is close, but does not hit. Which side of the mount do you have the servo on? Can you provide a pic?

mines close as well but it dosent rub! some pics would be helpful to give you some tips on how to fix it, i have heard some guys take and file the hole out that is closes to the tranny and rotate the servo up a hair, sounds like that would fix it?

Here are some pics.

It is hard to get a good picture of the problem since it is soo tucked away. You can see where it is digging into the servo. Its ok at normal droop, but with suspension travel it really binds.

Thanks for any help!

I am using a Hitec 425 servo and MIP shafts with the VP chassis. The clearance is close, I can easily fit a credit card between the servo and the MIP shaft.

does your servo plate have the ' R2 ' engraved into it?

You can mount servo behind plate instead of in front. And you should also oval out the mount screwholes and rotate the servo and mount upwards when tightening screws. That will give you a bit of extra clearance.

Yes it does have "R2" stamped into it.

Lookin4rock seems to have alot more clearance than i do. I also tried moving the servo to the other side of the mount but it wont fit in the frame that way.

R2 was the latest rev to add more clearance to the drive shaft.

I run mips on my truck, and have just enough clearance. Can try lossening the mount hols apply a little pressure to lifet it higher and re tighten?

I haven't gotten to that point in my build yet but one thing I notice is where the mount mounts to the trans mine has been filed away and put on the other side of the mount! I"ll double check on it tomorrow but I'm almost sure that's how mine is.... I got mine used for mock up off a guy on the board!

or run a smaller servo. I cut a piece of metal to adapt a 225mg to the bracket and it has plenty of clearance

i actually took a dremel and opened up the hole in the servo mount closest to the transmission, and i have about 1/8in of clearance on the SWX chassis
