| HELP: Purchasing a SWX chassis kit
Hi, I have a stock AX10 RTR and I want upgrade to a SWX chassis. I plan to buy the SWX Chassis kit and the Axial RTR Hardware Upgrade Kit (as I want to swap the stock plastic part for aluminum). The question I have is I beleive I need some additional posts (pipes) for the steering but I am not 100% sure of the lenghts etc. I think I need: 1 x pipe 6mm x 106mm 1 x 6mm x 32mm and some real small ones for the vertical pipes that hold the battery/servo late over the axel. Could someone please confirm this or give me the correect parts I need to the front steering. Thanks |

It sounds like this is what you need - but you could download the instructions for the kit or ARTR, and check the parts list

The 106mm and the 32mm are right for the steering "if your using the servo tray only" STOCK ... the 32mm will not work for the battery/ servo tray combo. there too long. the ones for the servo/battery plate come with the right length ones in the kits I've seen. Just measured my spacers for the battery/servo mount there about 19mm. I bought a carbon fiber battery/servo holder off of Ebay for 9.99 "buy it now price" and it came with 2 spacers and 1 link for the servo. Last edited by BAM-BAM; 03-19-2010 at 01:21 AM. |

Thanks, would anyone know what the real small ones are in lenght that go underneath the battery/servo plate vertically. And the battery/servo plate I am purchasing does not come with any posts so would the smaller pipe be less than 32mm? Cheers and thanks. |
