Yes, but I would switch to a 45t system instead of 55. I personally think 55 is just too slow and doesnt have enough torque even for a newbie.

Thats not a bad start. However, I would go with a faster motor, like a 45t or even a 35t. You could do better still by supporting the site and buying a star ($20) which will allow you access to the for sale section here. For what you'd spend (or less) on all new stuff, you could pick up a rig that is ready to go with some upgrades already on it. |

Thanks for your help, Ok i might buy a star. I almost forgot about batteries, should go lipo? i've already got a lipo charger, I buy all my batts from http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_index.asp what zippy 3s should i go for? i will go for the 45T not the 55T
