I am waiting on a new prototype motor for this rig as well, plan on swapping the Tekin ESC and Holmes Handwound out for something new and special from Holmes. I will be running a Mamba Max Pro when the new motor is here

Just a quick shot of the rig in prep stage. We still need to design and fab a BTA to take full advantage of the SDS Custom Super 300 CVD's.

Nice catch I am running Duratrax shocks, they are really smooth and are priced great.

I'll get good ones

We comp'ed in an actual down pouring rain last weekend so no pics last weekend. I still haven't painted the body panels either. I cut up a Proline 1/18th Defender body for the rig.

I'm going to try and take a little bit of time on Sunday to get some pictures. I am traveling to Omaha for a comp so there will be an opportunity to get it on the rocks again.

Cool looking rig.

But we are not used to you doing a build thread after it has happened. What about the soap opera while all this is going on?

Oh don't worry, I am fully capable of turning a useful thread in to something completely ridiculous.

The total chassis height has to be 3" or greater.

The chassis is working fantastic, I am going to tweak on a couple things is all. Thanks to Mike and Silas for the chassis and hope everyone else has the chance to run one soon as well.

No they are the Evader front shocks. DTX9003 is the part number. Aluminum threaded body construction. Cartidge style bottom similar to a Losi and thread on top cap. They also sent me a full set of every spring they carry for them as well as the TiN coated shafts. I didn't install the new shock shafts because I felt the shocks were already smooth enough. If I get a wild hair I may install them down the road.

The Extra Soft Grey springs that Duratrax sells are actually really good springs too. They are just a hair stiffer than Losi Golds. This rig doesn't have a ton of flex though so I don't mind the Golds. Normally I would run something with a little higher spring rate on a shafty.
