| **WINNER** Jones'n Frogger Chassis giveaway!
Who wants a free bodiless chassis? I thought I would start off by giving one away. __________________________________________________ _________________________________ EDIT: after some discussion with "people in the know" I have decided to modify my existing design to conform to competition requirements. Here is the updated design to include mounting holes for side plates. This Frogger V2.0 design will go to production in 3 days. __________________________________________________ _________________________________ This chassis will bolt in to your AX10. It will work with your stock or aftermarket skidplate, as long as it is the standard dimensions. The material is Delrin, and the cross bars are Delrin as well. Includes 7 cross bars and 14 mounting screws for the cross bars. You must be a star holder. I will pick the winner in August. If you need a star, you can get them here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/payments.php Post only once, or you are out. If you would like to purchase one now, you can follow my link in my signature. They are $35 shipped. Yeah, you heard that right. If the winner decides that he/she does not like the updated design, I will honor my original offer and make the Frogger V1.0 chassis for them. In order to be elligible, you must post a pic of your AX10 gettin' some. Casey Last edited by KC_JoNeS; 08-03-2010 at 10:31 PM. |

I am designing 2 more chassis in a week or so, and they will be comp legal. Rule 2.1.4 - Bodiless Vehicles: Must be self-supporting, structurally complete, rigid frame. The roof must be raised a minimum of 1" from the main chassis to resemble a cockpit. The frame sides must be an overall minimum of 1" tall (the cockpit & frame side are to be measured vertically from where the hood intersects the cab). Bodiless vehicles should resemble a 1:1 vehicle. I do not quite understand what is meant by "the frame sides must be an overall minimum of 1" tall." As for everything else in the rules, it seems I am in spec. As for resembling a vehicle, it was designed to look like a Lamborghini Gallardo. EDIT: after some more reading and talking to some people that know more than me, I will have to make some small design changes in the next couple days. This will not effect the time for this giveaway. casey Last edited by KC_JoNeS; 07-20-2010 at 09:48 AM. | |
