| my FF-4
well, this has been done for a few weeks, i just now got around to taking pics of it. it's your pretty straight forward 2.2 axial set-up, so i am not going to bore you with major details, but some basics are: FF-4 chassis R2D tranny white rovers 45T integy "Old Reliable" Novak Rooster Junfac BL's Revo shocks i am sitting at just a tick under 12" on the WB. pics: side view top front rear "Old Reliable" bottom detail of rear suspension detail of front suspension my "bird's nest" of wires... and now for body on shots. well, before i post them, most of the older WPAC guys will remember what my last body was, and, well... i couldn't resist again!!! yup, that's right, it's a Parma Grasshopper shell!!! and yes, it is 100% leagal!!! and lastly, a poser flex shot... thanks for looking, any questions, just feel free to ask away!! |

| i made my links from traxxas rod ends, 6-60 all thread, and flat black coated brakeline from advanced, when done right, they look just as good asthe links that come with an axial kit or the LCC... |

i remember when i used brake line for links, you should try to get some delrin ones, they help a ton! you might want to get your wheelbase all the way to 12.5 though.

thanks guys, and the WB is ok at 12", cause the rules say it is 12.5" at full stuff.... and with the way my bottom links are almost laying parallel to the ground, they don't really get snagged on things. |

Nice set up,really liking the old body, gives me a few ideas with the ones I have collecting dust. One question about the upper links, why are the fronts mounted on the inside of the frame and the rears on the outside? Does it have to do with articulation or handling?
