Default ax10/warthog......MUD DRAGSTER?

ive been tooling around with my old parts and found my warthog tuber being unused.......what a waste, but with my other crawler projects coming to a conclusion i need a new project i think im going mostly axial in respects to trans and axles, short losi big bore shocks in the rear short links to keep the tires and axle close to the frame and make much longer than stocklinks in the front. 1.9 tires in front and 2.2 paddles in the rear. give me a few ideas twards motor and speed controller i want this to be insane looking on a trailer behind my scx10(shortwb) and fast as hell on a straight......any other ideas for the build is apprecciated!

I will post pics as soon as i can

if you want to go in mud. and go fast. a traxxas VXL system (waterproof) could suffice, I can't wait to see some pics of this thing, I am very interested.

X2 !! since its going to be quick with lots of power and torque, some kind of rear sway bar might be helpful to combat torque twist off the line and help you stay in a straight line, just an idea. something to look into.

this thing sounds nasty as hell!!! i think the vxl system would be the best (and only) option considering the water and mud that it will throw.

Are you on a budget or no budget?

Budget wise go with the waterproog trazzas xl-% and the hottest motor it can handle.

if no budget than the HH brxl thing is the way to go for sure.

Since it's gonna be purpose built for the mud, and you won;'t be doing any crawling, i don't really see a need for a two speed trans.

what about if you moved the chassis as far forward as possible that way when you hit the gas the weight will be more balanced out and it will hook up better plus you wont have to throw a bunch of weight on the front to keep the nose down. just make the rear link like 160mm long and the front just barely 50mm. the front will never be able to lift and you will always have 4 wheels on the ground.
