Default saddle packs...

Does anybody still use Nimh saddle packs? Throw up some pics of yours, and maybe a link to a good saddle pack. i have one of those proline tuber body's and want to put the electrics where the batt. goes.

i'm not gonna use Lipo with this rig.

Thank you

Here is a so-so pick of one of my 7-cell packs.

Two places I have bought from and have been very happy with what I received:

You can custom order your packs.

I made my own saddle packs. Tight fit with them being laid down completely but they work!

I got mine through Ebay, and got good deals on 9.6v packs. You can see one of em in my gallery, on my Edge chassis.

The Owner of my not so local hobby shop (160 miles away) said "nobody uses Nickel saddle packs anymore", but this thread shows me otherwise.

I agree with purchasing from tcs. Mine shipped fast and were inexpensive.

generally speaking, lipo is the way to go. Had i known then what I know now, I would have shelled out the extra couple bucks for a lipo charger and a couple 2s packs.

There isn't anything really wrong with nimh though - it's served me fine thus far.

I've been working on a Juggernaut/AX10 hybrid for on and off this summer. Using old touring car saddle packs. I plan to go LIPO at some point but I have these old batteries and a couple of chargers so I plan on using them as long as possible.
