| AX-10 Scorpion RTR/RTC Radios
Axials website does not give much info on them other than they are 2 channel. I'm assuming that they're not 2.4Ghz. So, are they FM? Any info on the radios for these would be appericated! Thanks.

Again, new to all this RC stuff........thanks for the help! So how does that work when you're with other guys wheeling? Can I pick what frequency I want? I just get what they send me? Do I have to buy different crystals? See, the whole reason I was looking toward the RTR/RTC's are just that......they're ready to go and 99% of what I need to run comes with it. For the money, it seems like it'd be my best bang for buck for a new rig. I'm not opposed to buying used either, I'd almost prefer it. That's likely where I'll get the best bargin, no? Of course, I can't even see the classifieds yet. |

With an AM RTR/RTC you "can" pick up someone else's channel. Your best bet for used is local Craigs List.

It has been my experience that with the stock rtr radio you have a reliable range of about 12 to 15 feet. I am relatively new to rc and with my experience so far with the rtr crawler I wish I had just purchased a 3 chnl radio and the artr version instead. I am now waiting for my dx3e spektrum radio to get delivered to replace the stock radio. I also had to replace the 27 turn with a 55 turn for decent crawling so if you go with rtr get the rtc not rtr.
