| HB rovers
Hi I was looking around at a crawler site to buy a GC3-A chassis and ran across a deal on some hot bodies rovers soft or medium compound. I am very new to crawling and am wondering how good these tries are. The site says they measure 5.5 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide. Please tell me what you guys think about these, it seems like everytime I buy something then I am told there was something better, and I don't want to waste my money. Thanks for the help.

These tyres, or Sedonas. I run rover whites on my sportsman (A CR01) and they grip like sh1t to a blanket. |

This tire works good and is a great "all around" tire, Sedonas are good too. Depending on the conditions one tire will work better than the other, I have both Rovers and Sedonas in White compound.

I just got done reading 16 pages of the GC3 thread and have read hours of other threads. A lot of people go back and forth on various tires and honestly I just wanted a simple yes or no. I won't ask any more questions since I was a problem. Moderator please delete.

They are a great tyre and you could buy plenty worse. If you do go for the rovers get the white compound. | |

I think the better question instead of "is this the best tire?"....should be "what is the best tire for my terrain?" That is something you will have to figure out for yourself. In the past couple months, I have bought the Rovers, Sedonas, and the Proline Chisels. I alternate between them with different wheels and weights, depending on what terrain I am running. Now, if that does not split your mellon..... |

No I dont have a dig yet, but I will be ordering the gc3 chassis, will probably get a dig later though. I can get these for $12 a pair so I will just get them since it seems like a lot of people like them. I originally asked this because after doing a bunch of reading I bought a set of chisels for my mrc because it sounded like they were a good tire. I actually havent gotten to try them yet so I am not sure how they perform, but the other day I took my mrc to the lhs and they said they werent that great. It kind've bugged me that everytime I buy something it turns out I should have bought something else, so I asked here. Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate your input. I will start out with these and go from there.

You could go best of both worlds. I run the white dot rovers in the rear with white dot sedonas up front. Seems to work well for me.

TCS & CKRC both have their Rovers on sale for about $13 a pair. Get the white dot, soft compound. |
