| Cheap wheel weights Just wanted to let you guys know that a 2.5 inch washer makes a good beadlock and also adds a little weight to the front end. I made this one just to see if it would work and it does. Now going to make three more that way both front tires have the new beadlock on the inside and out side of the rims. Also going to paint them black. Last edited by Goatsniper; 12-13-2010 at 06:17 PM. |

all I see is a bunch of code, no pic. If you go to most tire stores and ask for a strip of stick-on wheel weights for your RC they will give them to you. |

I've also read you can take really thich lead-core plumber's solder and wrap it around the wheels before foam/tire installation. Just count how many winds you do so you can balance them.

I was planning on making some out of some aluminum that I have but this is a much better alternative since it's pre-cut, not to mention they should weigh more. I love the look of an almost fully closed beadlock and this is perfect, still have good access to the wheel nut aswell. |

There was somebody on here about a year ago (maybe longer ago...I really dont remember) That was doing this. Seems like I remember them offering them for sale already drilled for your wheels. Like I said it's been a prety good while back though.

I hit like 5 tire shops here, none were agreeable with even selling the weights, let alone give them for free. I went to Harbor Frieght and bought a pack of them.

The washers work great for the inside and outside on the rear tires but the inside diameter is too small for the front inside due to the steering knuckle. I haven't been able to coax any tire shops in gaffney to let go of the stick on tire weights.

rocks with a high iron content. free and heavy. insert in tire and run. you get free weight and rock tumbler at the same time. after a few weeks they should be nice and smooth |

I had that same issue. I ended up using solder, it was cheaper than buying tire weights online and having them shipped. | |
