| First "real" RC
Hi all! I said real, as I know rigs are built, not bought from 1:1 ratio stuff. I've been lurking here about a month now, and have been trying to absorb as much as possible. I'm new to the actual good R/C cars, I've had nikko and new bright stuff as a kid, but imo it doesn't compare. I bought a used ZX-10 Scorpion RTR (rock racer). So far I've put on the 14t gear and drilled the 1/8 hole in the rims, but haven't starred the foams yet, as I'm waiting to buy new tires. I want to put in the front diff locker, but I noticed in the manual about the grease when building the axle from the piece, and wondering since I don't have a LHS to get more lube, if I can get away with sticking in the locker. My plans for upgrades are pretty much everything aluminum, C's Knuckles, 4 link plate, the axial annodized kit for links. Also as much as the 1:1 is in me and I want a Chevy Blazer body Ill probably do more of a buggy. Another upgrade I was looking at is the Rooster crawler 55t ECS/motor combo. Other then that, I need to read more about more stuff to do and what is "right". Thanks in advance. Last edited by Caustic101; 12-19-2010 at 02:06 PM. |

I don't think it will be really feasible to do both, and I don't want to cut up a body. I want the looks for a scaler, but want a great crawler, maybe after I get this one built and play around a bit Ill build a second, then like most of the others here it'll snowball from there |
