| Axial Hi-clearance knuckles
Could anyone tell me if these knuckles (AX30526) are only for BTA steering or will they work like the stock plastic ones? Because my tie rod does not work with these knuckles and the only pictures of them being used was BTA.

I am pretty sure they were designed just to work with the BTA steering set up from Axial, but I am sure if you picked up some 5/16" delrin rod you could make them work in front of the axle as well by making tour own steering links if that is the problem you are having.

i tried them in front of my axle. The arms are shorter than stock. The tierod was so close to the axle that i had very limited steering throw

| The only problem with that is the axial bta kit comes with knuckles. If your gonna order that, then you may want to see if you can take the ones you have back.

Yep the axial kit is 3 link, so if you want to run a 4 link then you have to modify the battery tray or buy another one.

I will have an extra set of knuckles, because I just threw out the packages from all my new parts. I guess it doesn't hurt to have the extra parts. I still run three link in the front so I am good there.

I run them in my axles. Just make or buy a slightly longer tierid and bend it in the middle.

I had the same issue you are describing. I ended up spacing the servo up 5mm to give all of the steering clearance to run the knuckles in the front, (for now) but had to make the steering link longer as it pulled the tires in. It started with a 6mm then to a 5 and now down to the 4mm and it steers straighter than before. This is not going to be a permanent set up but it works for now. |

AX, it has full blown lock to lock steering as it sits now, without hitting anything in the front but the back of the tire will hit the shocks when the suspension is articulating. A slight issue I have not had time to address yet.

How long have you had this mod smokin? I'm asking because i am wondering if you have had any problems with the servo loosening up due to the additional leverage? I have the same problem with the trailing edge of the tire hitting the spring. So far all i've done is limited endpoints.

I had this set up for a few months now. Only about 30 outings with it. I have been trying to see if the servo mount would snap at the axle mount but it has held up. Tried side hilling it and the only thing to give is the servo itself since I added 6.5oz of weight to the front wheels. So far so good, for now.

Surprised that AS-1 servo has lasted that long, mine was wobbly after 3 comp attempts and 2 bashing sessions in the back yard, about 4hrs total run time.

That servo and the electronics are out of a rtr scorpion. This will be the 3rd and final stock servo. Luckily e bay had some cheap stockers. Its to the point now it will not turn the wheels on flat ground. I think this last batch of electronics was 12 bucks shipped. |

If you are shoppin' "feebay", might as well look at some MG995.
