Looking on cheap battery packs building the custom pack after searching the max a stock axial can take ( 10 cell ) I was considering building a 2x4 pack with Elite 5000 SCs. Would be running stock electronics and a Integy pro lathe 45t, with 14/87 pinion/spur. Would that be a good choice or has anyone used that setup? I also read you could use a 3s lipo but I doubt the stock ESC has a lipo cut off. Then I'd need to buy a different charger as well with a balancers and lipo connections. |

I don't think the stock esc will handle 3s, but I know a lot of guys that have run 2s with a low volt cutoff. As for charger I would recommend a Hyperion 0606i. It's got everything you need in one box for about a $100 http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?ap...invid=EOS0606i AC/DC&sid=719799&bc_menuid=448EGD8AF2 |

The stock ESC can handle 3S, although it is not recommended.
