Hey guys can someone please post a few pics for me of there axial bta drag link set up please. And my c hubs look like they can be setup straight or in a bit of tilt, what's the best setup for turning radius? Thanks and what's the best servo arm length when using the axial bta

I use only Vanquish zero Ackermann knuckles...so I had to make my own tie rod.

found this pic of the Axial BTA steering set up, if you can tilt the C's back that will help with the steering.

Do a search for DickT's UGC Fastback. He used to run an Axial BTA with a cut up VP plate for 4 link.

In my build (link in signature) you can have a look.. I have a lot of pics of the steering. Custom top plate with vp 0 ackerman knuckles! Do you want a 4 link or factory 3 link? You want the pinion to point as close to the trans output as possible while keeping the steering leaned back as much as you can... It's tough to do with out rotating thing even more and doing custom stuff. Servo horn depends what axles you're using and your setup.

all of my steering problems are from a busted servo. i guess after i put on my mayhem phatty rims the ppp servo that is on my rig just gave out. the metal gear the horn bolts to is pulling out of the servo casing. now its time for a new servo, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i am running stock axial locked axles, axial bta and low cg axial plate. i will be running a robitronic arm and need to know if i should get a 16mm short arm or the 20mm normal arm. thanks guys.

I bought the Axial kit.

The tie rod rubs the upper link where it screws onto the top of the housing. It doesn't affect my steering any, but it doesn't look clean. :(

When I 4 link it I will make sure to fix this issue, as I'm not a fan of parts rubbing each other.

Hitec 7950th or 7980 but I think the 7980 is overkill imo. These servo's aren't cheap, but you will relace several cheap servos and end up buying one anyways. I say bite the bullet ones. Be sure to get a cc bec and set it to 7.4v if you do get a servo like this.

Default Drag Link

I added a nut to the ball stud on the servo arm after this picture.

I just ordered a hittec servo. I was wondering how to up my cc bec to 7.4 or higher since I'm ordering a 8 or 9 cell elite 1500 crawler pack, I havent decided yet on which cell count.

Remember before you go an up the voltage make sure your servo can handle it.

I run a longer M3 up through the bottom of the knuckle, and then add a nut on top. I found that the steering force was enough to start loosening the M3 as it is in this picture. Then it starts to wallow out the threaded portion of the knuckle. Something to keep an eye on.

I think I already fixed that. Thanks Chris
