| AX10 knuckle weights? Oh yeah!
While making the Berg knuckle weights I had a good idea that they would also work for the AX10. I was not positive so I did not want to post anything in this section without knowing for sure. Well,... I am pretty sure We cut some Berg weights and I went straight to my friends AX10 just to see what would happen. Now, I was pretty sure that VP hi steer and VP zero ackerman would fit but I didnt count on anything else. I am still actually not sure on the VP stuff but I do know for sure that they fit Axial brand hi steer knuckle like they were meant for it! I am really excited that the fit came out so well. The really good news for you AX10 guys is that depending on what wheels you run you could easily get 100% of the weight out of your wheels and on to the knuckles! There is actually a touch more room on the AX10 over my Losi and on my Losi system I can jam 9.5oz of knuckle weights with a 725 hub on an SLW. Here are some pictures to get you started. I have the prototypes being sent/being tested. I expect to have product to ship in a couple weeks from now. |

Just about any wheel should work with the bare knuckle weight. If you have extra room you can fit rings that are .100" thick (less than 1/8" of an inch). To figure out how much room you can fit, you can measure the wheel from the back of the hex to the first point of contact in the wheel. If you have 3/8" of an inch (.380), you should be able to fit 3 or almost 4 .100 rings. As shown above, I will pretty much have the Vanquish wheel sizes figured out. There are so many other wheels out there that we will have to figure it out case by case and share info.

So, what is aprox weight of the complete system, which we observe on the 3rd photo? It looks like this one will be just fine In any case, i think, it is possible to mount one ring from the inner side, just need to divide it by two pcs. That will even give more tuning options |

Another thing I wanted to add. The setup in the picture allows for 45* of steering. After that there are some clearance issues between the weight and the C on the backside. If youre running more steering then you will have to clearacne the C, weight or both. It looked like it would be minor clearancing though. |

FYI that setup will fit a DH wheel with a 585 hub. Those wheels are .725 wide though. I would guess you would have to run a wheel no larger than 1" wide to clear.

It would be strange for a wheel to not work with my weights. The only question is "how many rings can you fit?" Some of the Eritex wheels have a really good design and can slam a lot of weight on. I am not sure what the rockers look like. |

I got mine today guys, and these things are beautiful. They fit perfect on my VP 0 ackerman knuckles and I can max out my Super 300's with no problems. I haven't had a chance to get on the rocks with them yet, but will be crawling alot this weekend.
