Default in manual item 15 - what piece

ok so i have axle wrap on front and back of the axial ax10 scorpion rtr.

what i noticed looking through the instruction pdf... is on step 15...

whre the axle links connect to the axle.. i notice where the screw goes.. the whole thing goes in and out giving about a 1/2" axle wrap.

so anyone know the PN for this.. place to buy online? I dont have to buy a full tree do I? i think the front was $76 and back $36!!!!!

i looked through varous things trying to see what to use but not sure...

appreciate it...

You more than likely need to replace that link mount.

The rod end should not be worn enough to cause problems.

i will post a pic later when i get home as im at work..
but yeah.. the part that goes to the axle actually goes in.. so i thought the ball was bad....
so i know it is a pivot point... and figured the ball snaps into it and then the screw secures it???

i will look again when i get home and if so purchase what your showing...
but i have the problem in the front and back..

i was hoping something like this would fix it..
mind you id rather have black

That ball should already be metal. I doubt it is bad. Maybe the screw is loose or the link mount has been wallowed out...

yeah im with you guys.. i bet just worn out..

guess this will be my first mod....

i have to buy a motor.. well dont have too... 19 turn is in it with 20/87 gears.. so it moves not crawl so well....

guess time to start searching on how to make custom links..
im thinking of doing something custom because i dont want to buy a new axle case kit front and back to get the part.. might as well figure this out...

A washer can be added at the head of the screw that goes into the y-link along with grinding some of the ball down to stop some of the slop as a temp fix. Back in the day, the plastic balls plus the wallowed out mount would just cause it to pop out completely.

But a good fix would be to just 4link front and rear.

AX10 not SCX10

Typically, you'll benefit by 4-linking front and rear with an AX10 style rig.
