|  issues with Ball ends
hi all 1st post learning and using my modded ax10 hard but........... getting bored now with breaking the plastic cranked ball ends whats a good replacement or does the damage just get transfered if they are stronger tia Last edited by milkyax10; 03-06-2011 at 09:19 AM. |

Traxxas ball ends are stronger. If you want to keep all of your original links and rods, the standard Traxxas ends will fit fine. If you want to upgrade to aftermarket links and rods, go with the Jato or Revo ends which are larger and stronger yet.

You can get away with using those ball ends for upper links, but that is about it. For lower links, it is best to switch to 4mm Traxxas ends. You search it out, and you will find them. Casey |

i use the bigger dubro rod ends that fit 6-32 threads and never had one break yet........bob .... |

i run 5468 traxxas ends and they are beef  you can use the stock axial balls and 3mm set screws with them as well

I use both Revo and Jato ends and they hold up so much better than Axial's. Ends are only as good as the plastic eyelet holding them in place...after a while all ends need to be replaced anyway. Not sure about RC4WD's steel ends. Can someone chime in on those? |

Iam still running the factory rod ends and have yet to see a problem with them but I think when one breaks I will change them over to the traxxas one cause they are stonger

Just one thing to consider. Revo and Jato rod ends are the best imo, but they use 4mm hardware. So, depending on what you are using for links you may have to make some new links.

yes, i am running stock 3mm set screws and ball ends in them... i just built my new rig with those on Thursday of last week

had my traxxas ball ends today and fitted them up with a set of losi rock claws .....what a transformation over the hammers no link breakages.....very happy cheers all for your help |
