Default AX30794 WB8 Driveshaft Set

The WB8 Wild Boar Driveshafts are the factory units used on the Wraith™ are THE perfect upgrade for all SCX10/AX10's.

We named this driveline system after your driving style – WILD BOAR. Yes, we watch YouTube and see your super thrash 'n' bash style SCX10 & AX10 abuse! We've watched you drop kick your clutch, throwing caution to the wind and your rig into the gnar-gnar where only the wild boar can go without an ounce of fear! We love that you trust the Axial brand, but there is neither gold, glory nor any photographer hundreds of miles into the forest. We want to give you that extra security to be able to drive home and tell us about it.

The Axial R&D team took all of this into account when working on a new driveline system solution that would not only be great for the Wraith™, with the next level of driving style we are sure your vehicle is to see, but deliver a factory system that is an easy-to-install mechanical upgrade for all SCX10/AX10's to make sure you come back home from the epic journey. The WB8 Wild Boar Driveshaft Set is THE ONE simple system that will universally work across the whole Axial family of rigs.

Yes, we said "simple system", as in – Super Easy Assembly! No more pry bar pliers! No more snapping Y-Yokes! The WB8 Wild Boar Driveshaft Set is a much simpler solution to assemble, tear-down and inspect.

Other features include:
- Constant Velocity Joint Design [CVJ]
- Full Metal-To-Metal Construction for the CVJ-Housing
- Friction Free Movement / Smooth Articulation
- Metal Ring Protection & Capture for the CVJ-Pin
- Easy Assembly & Maintenance
- Three tube lengths for various applications [Wraith™ / AX10 / SCX10 Dingo™ & Trail Honcho™]

OPTIONAL: We recommend using [AX30435] along with [AX30408] to utilize the cross pin design for secure pin attachment. The Axial R&D team worked on a solution that would not only be great for the Wraith™ but would also make a great upgrade for all SCX10/AX10's.

It's about time. What is the projected investment to complete 1 truck?

Just saw these today on a Wraith at Hobby Town and they looked great. What is the longest they can be run at safely?

Axial's site lists them at $60 for the set. Hopefully that is MSRP and not actual...

Yeah, that is not the street price... you should see them around $45 for a complete set.

Im with you on no 4mm... I drilled and re-tapped my U-joints for 4MM, big pain but worth it.

Those are some pretty nice looking shafts though. Nice work Axial

Big pain? I drilled and tapped 4 holes for my yokes in under 10 minutes. It's pretty easy, especially when there is almost a 3mm hole there already.

I forgot to mention that 2 of the yokes had stripped out 3MM screws in there, THAT made it a pain A lot of grease, and forcing on the drill press and we got it done

Very tough... at least I got it done without killing the drill bit

Seriously though, M4 is way better than M3. Im a machinist so I understand fully the pain and time to re-tool...

Nice, now just come out with hardened OD/UD/Standard gear sets with holes for the crosspins! It's a pain to drill out the hardened sets. When are the driveshafts going to be available to the general public?

these are great but for the price and if you look on axials web site at the shafts they are stuck to a parts tree. Too me this means they aren't all metal just the yokes

The joints are what take most the abuse since they run at an angle. I personally like the idea of having a little "give" or twist in the shaft to absorb torque spikes. Plus it keeps the weight down.

However, I do think it is an epic fail for not having 4mm setscrews/pins.

I do think the price is a little steep considering I can get a pro-pack of Traxxas shafts for less than ten bucks and they have a decent lifespan.
