Default What Transmitter will the ax-2 bind to

Hi,

My boy has a Scorpion and the 2 ch radio is fine until he gets older, but what type of RX will this bind to

FHSS futaba (I know it doesn't bind to FASST) Spektrum?

Thanks in advance.

pretty much all the 2.4Ghz stuff is proprietary. Meaning you can't bind spektrum to futaba, or futaba to airtronics. Its not like the FM days were an FM radio was an FM radio and all you had to do was make sure the channel on the RX matched the TX. You "may" be able to bind the rx to a flysky radio, I think I remember reading somewhere the axial radio was flysky. In the end it's not worth it. Get a whole new radio system when he's ready to move up.

understand what you mean, Knew about the name brands... However, all losi radios 2.4 can bind to spectrum receivers (cept DSM2 of course). I think associated binds to airtronics.. (could be wrong on assoicated, but know first hand as my other son is using a POS losi radio on some sr300 rx's) just wanted to see what I.. or if I could bind to anything else.

I'm pretty sure that the spektrum/losi thing is because they are both owned by Horizon Hobby. JR radios also use DSM technology and they are also under horizon. I'm not sure about airtronics/associated though.

It will probably bind up to a FlySky system.

But with the Flysky/HK stuff, the RXs cost under $10 a piece, so why bother even trying to use the Axial RX? Especially with the new firmware hacks for the GT3b, you can run 6 channels on it.
