| AX10 Electrical Problems
Well I need some help guys. Here's what I have: AX10 RTC AE-2 1300 2s 3 servos (4ws & dig) Fly Sky 6ch w/ modded GT3B CC BEC Castle Link Here's the problem: I just recently got the 4ws & dig installed and the 6ch radio programmed. Everything started of fine for a few days, but then the electronics started acting up (twitching and not responding) So I figured it needed an external BEC. Today I picked up a CC BEC and Castle link. Came home installed the BEC as per the instruction (cut the red wire on the ESC) hooked up the castle link and set it at 6v and set the ESC for 100 drag brake. Put everything back together and drove it for a couple minutes and then it's back to everything is glitching and non responsive. I've tried pulling two of the servos or unplugging the BEC and even reset the stuff I changed with the link. I'm stuck! any ideas to what might be causing this? |

If you've already pulled servos and it's still doing it, I'd start looking at the radio itself. Is the receiver antenna cut? Wound up and stuffed into a box? Too close to, and/or rubbing on anything metal (chassis plates, battery tray)? Another thing to look for, In my Futaba's manual it specifically states not to put stickers (including metallic skins) over the transmitter's antenna, is your transmitter's antenna covered in stickers? If it's a fold-down, has the wire flexed and broken? Last edited by Trubble; 12-24-2011 at 10:11 AM. Reason: fspewwing, again. (erey stinkin' time I don't proofread) |

With three servos, depending in the models, you might be pushing the limits I'd that BEC.

Maybe try checking the transmitter batteries as well. - |

The radios low battery alarm came on and I swapped to new batteries. No change. Quote:
If it is too much, what would be my resolution? Should I be running 3s? Should I have gotten the Pro BEC? I'm not up to par on all of this RC stuff quite yet so I'm not quite sure where to go from here? | ||

Unless you've got the bec set to 7+ volts, changing to 3s won't help. What model servos are you running? |

Yeah, an additional BEC or swapping to a Pro should help.
