Default CreationFab's quickly thrown together Sporty

We have a comp this weekend we decided to start the 2.2S class in, and I wanted to slap together something real quick for PCC also. So I decided to throw together a really basic ax10 based shafty. I am also hoping that the misses shows an interest in driving this in the sportsman class, but I wont get my hopes up there lol.

I have about 8 hours into it so far. This will be good enough for the weekends comp. But I will be tweaking stuff until I like it. It seems to drive well enough. Might need an oz or 2 on the front, but it should work well for Tomorrows comp. Drives really smooth also. I did notice that the caster on the passenger side is off when I uploaded the pics

Thanks guys. She drove really well at our comp yesterday. I let the misses drive her in the sportsman class, and I drover her in our 2.2S class. The misses drove really well with me coaching her, and managed to finish all 4 courses in the pouring down rain! Only her second time driving a crawler ever. I on the other hand didn't do as well lol. Messed up a tube on one side because I was lazy and didnt put as many screws in it as I should have, broke a driveline, and the RX got wet, so the truck was wigging out. But all in all, the thing drove like a baws! I am thinking of making some carbon side plates with the same link geo, but a cooler, lower design, new upper links, carbon axle plates, and some other tweaks. More to come...

Made a couple changes. The drivers side tube got all screwed up at the last comp, so I made a new one, and ended up Gluing it in to one side to secure it nicely. I even found an even better way to set the caster even.

For the caster, I just set both chubs on 2 flat surfaces and made sure they were even on it. Then I let the glue dry and threw in some screws to keep it from ever coming un done.

Then I took the rest of the GC3 stuff off that I was "borrowing" from a truck I parted out. Made some carbon axle plates and extended the upper links. The front now mounts through to the servo mount. This will keep it stronger and less likely to break the carbon

Made some new upper links. The rears are just temp recycled ones. Going to make some lighter ones later on. Just have limited time right now

More to come...
