Default Farmertom's 2.2s El Nino 3 (with AX10 axles)

Today I had to start building a new 2.2s crawler.

My current 2.2s crawler works great, but i will start to build a Shafty with AX10 axles.

I've got a cheap Chaotic Crawlers El Nino 2s chassis.
But since I like the chassis of carbon would have had, and this is not available, respectively. the chassis is no longer produced,
I chased the side parts made of carbon.

The axes have been widened with the tubes of Chris and fitted with the C-Hubs and Knuckles from the XR10.
As I drive shafts front shafts of the XR10 Vanquish inside and behind the original shafts of XR10.

I'll use the gear as the AX10 as Bulletproof version.

The body has also been determined, I will use original body from the XR10.
For the design I use the inline Skins Michelle.

Very nice start there. Some top quality parts piled up on those axles and chassis!

Wow!
I haven't seen a niņo 2 in action in quite some time.

That's awesome

I look forward to seeing how you like it.

I have debated just building my sporty with my original El Niņo chassis, but decided to build a new carbon one.

Great job Thomas!

Yes.

Since I'm still waiting for some parts for my superclass, I had in the last few days some time to continue working on Shafty.

The links are as ready.
The upper links are made of 4mm stainless steel, the bottom of 5mm stainless steel.

Next step is going to the adjustments to the damper and steering.

The dampers are adjusted.

The steering is far too ready.
The servo mounts have also been replaced by a separate, therefore the servo could be shifted slightly to the side.
For the Lipo I have now on the other side of the axle enough space.
But I have yet quickly created a plate made of carbon.

The body I've also adjusted temporarily.
Now I have to make a mount for the body.

This is coming along quite nicely. What color are you going to paint the body?

Color?
This is relatively easy.
All my crawlers have the same design.
I use skins from Krawler Konceptz.

Here is my collection of old crawler:

Meanwhile, the electronics is ready installed.

The inline Skins Michelle arrived yesterday.
Today I have now installed the stickers and painted the checkered finish.

Now I lack only the Knuckle Weights.
But are already on the way.

Then the crawler is ready for the West Coast Shootout in March.

Wow.

That body looks awesome tom.

I can't wait to see this rig in march.

Are you planning on doing Ti links or are you staying with the stainless?
