Default Xr10 universals

Hi

I have just finished a sportsman build using the xr10 mod in the front axle

I have used xr10 universal shafts in the front axle but have noticed that during use they click about quite loudly due to the play in the joint

Is this normal?

They are brand new

Thanks heaps

Jayden

If you didn't clearance them properly or at all the will chatter a bit..... there are several builds that explain how to drive them apart and how most clearance them. For future reference tho pictures are worth a thousand words. Most are willing to help but the best help comes from pictures...

Pictuuurrre's....

Clamp the bottom ear and drive little pin out..

Take dremel or file or... clearance inside the ears and the outside edges.. (You can get rid of some chatter by simply filing off the edges on the outside of the ears)

I do my insides to look like super 300 HD's.. A little more then needed and more then most do.
Dlux sells premodded uni's for a Great price, if you don't want to do this urself.

I like to use a rat tail file in a drill or my secret weapon is the bluehawk small drum sanding head in a dremel.
