Default AR60 sportsman VENTRU by PAT13

I introduce you my project of sportsman

as ingredients we have:

AR60 axles
Holmes 500
CCC Bulldog Shafty Tranny
rcbros gears
servo hitec 7950


we put it all in a bag ...... and ........ :

A small tube is between tranny and axle, it will be replaced by a custom coupling.




Then we try to fix all together ......: :



with the wheels: :



profile it looks like this: there is good




let's see the chassi VENTRU : : !!!!!!





you will say there is no links ..... no problem ......
we take a round 4mm and twist in all directions ....

That's one way around all the fab work to make a moa axle into a shafty!

Thanks for making the topic Pat. Awesome job so far. My frind once said, that why not put AX10 transmission behind wraith axle. You've done something like that, but only better.

This is going to be interesting to see how the link geometry works out. I run my rear uppers shorter than the uppers too. Its only about 5mm difference. This will put it to the extreme test. I wonder how this would look dissected by a diagram? There is an old thread about torque twist, roll center, and anti squat that has some neat pics with lines.

I'm , ... to see that CCC box mounting like this

A small input, the 400 are smaller than the 500, then you can reduice the motor squid.

and for the torque twist we have a post of the master Totorax on RCCF, i beleive that you know about

Looks like it works pretty good. Plenty of clearance without the drawbacks. Looks like your rules are different there. There was no repo after tapping the boundary.

small update :

straight steering link in place ( ti 3mm)
new lower link AR titane/alu ( same as my berg 2.2pro Ventru)
AR upper link mount : first version done
AR upper link for test 3mm
rear shocks in place
