Default Dravtech shocks

So I bought some dravtech shocks and when assembling them i threaded the rod end to where it bottoms out on the shaft and the rod end is touching the spring cup. but when the shaft is at full compression, the shaft (piston side) passes the top of the shock body (cap side) which he warns you about. I also noticed that when the cap is screwed on I can’t compress the shaft all the way to where the spring cup will touch the shock body, it seems as though the top of the shaft is hitting the shock cap. Any tips or tricks that you can pass on thanks in advance.

Well figured it out took the shaft out and put it in my vise with some padded jaws and got the rod end to screw down more, guess it wasn’t bottomed out like I thought.

Thanks for pointing that out DKOR, mine weren't bottomed out either. They're fixed now.
