Default Tires in AX-10 kit

Are the tires in the AX-10 kit the soft ones? They seem softer than the first set I bought.

The ones I got suck. I can only assume they're the not sticky version.

And I can only hope they're not the stickies. Cause they suck!

Though they scream out loud on a hardwood floor.

But they just won't grab a rock around here to save their life!

I believe they are the old ones. Switched to M2K's and make lines I didn't make before.

Speaking of the tires. I haven't found on here yet about drilling holes in the rim like we do in off road racing. It doesn't mention it in the manual but I know it would make them softer (no air resistance when it gets mashed). Is this not what yall do to rock climb or have I missed it?

I drill a hole in the rims of my wheels or I leave a bolt from the inner beadlock rig out for air to escape.

I was wondering which version I had as well, because mine are every bit as soft as my Moabs and Mashers that I run on my larger crawler. I trimed a half inch off the width of my foams, rounded the corners of the foams, and drilled two holes in each wheel to let the tire conform better. So far I am pretty happy with the tires.

It could be that cloud of ignorance blocking out reality however!

Yea, I've kinda been watching this - I'm going to try the tires that came in the kit because they seem very soft to me.

they feal soft, but they are not as sticky... not saying they are total garbage though... i ran both my sticky lizards and the ones i got with the kit, you can hear the differance and see it also......
i also have the same weight and foam setup in both tires and rims..
so yes, the stickys are better.... but the original lizards aren't that bad... they will make nice trail tires!
