Default Battery pack setup

I have not assembled my ax-10 yet and have a quick question.

Whch on of these packs would work better on thw ax?

Also will there be enough room to mount them on the links or front axle?

I use the stick pack (second link) on my competition rig and love it. It sits lower than the brick.

I velcro mine to the top of the servo but you could also cut and zip tie a piece of lexan to the upper links to make a platform for it to sit.

Well it depends on your motor/esc setup. What are you using? The first one will fit on the side of the axle. You may want to go with tcs's 8 cell pack for more power if your setup can handle it.

Rooster crawler is only rated to 7 cells nimh. You could probably get away with 8 cells, but might have heat problems. Definitely wouldn't be warranteed if you toasted the esc.

More cells = more speed/torque/power
Higher ratings = longer run time

Any six cell pack should work with that.

well the rooster crawlers description says it can handle 4-7 cells nicd-nimh. Upping the cells means more voltage, resulting in more power.
*edit*
I guess I just echoed what ecoli said

Will the connector on the stick pack work with the moped ESC or will I need to change one of the two?

Both packs listed come with Deans Connectors and the Moped has a Tamiya style connector stock. You would be best off to change the Moped to a Deans for less resistance.
