Default best found mods

Lets here what mods you have done and work best for you. Link position, shock setup, motors, lets here it all.
So far I have put the shock damper on the inside to limit the shocks toget a lower cog. Also used Jasons idea on the 2 spacers on the rear left shock, big difference! Washer on upper link. Took out tire foams and filled tires up with the green airsoft BBs from Wal-Mart. Added the weight I wanted low and get great grip.
So lets here yours

I also limited my shocks on the inside using fuel tubing about 1/2in long. I also kept the limiters on the outside as well. Still have about 5-6 in of articulation.

Added some AE springs #1582 green, silver

You could also remove the screw on the c hub closest to the steering knuckle. At max steering throw the knuckle hits this screw. With the screw removed the knuckle will sit flush against the axle c at full turn. I have only bench tested this mod, im not sure how well the axle c will hold up with only 1 screw holding it on.

I built a lower skid out of delrin to triangulate the lower links, this got rid of all the axle steer but I destroyed the plate.:-( I will be making another.

Weight
T-maxx big bore aluminum shocks
Losi Claws
Mount electronics under the battery tray
Cut out a sheet of lexan, zip tie it to the rear upper links, set your lipo on there.

Cut out notches on the skid so the links can mount on the inside, then use a screw on the closest hole in to hold the skid

Default My Upper Link Washer and screw fix

I know everyone is adding the washer, those who are keeping the stock set up for awhile that is.

I found the stock cap head hits the axle, which could be causing un-due stress and more popping. So instead I used a 3x15mm Flat Head screw with the same washer, MUCH more give so far.

A button head might work even better,

4.5 oz of plastic bb's in each tire

customized venom 3000 pack

Just got back from Folsom Lake. I love this thing! I beat the hell out of it and nothing broken. The BB's work great in the tires, good traction. Still think I might have to get the losi claws. Might have to try the rear knuckle swap. Thanks for the idea.

Just airsoft BB's, no foam. I'm going to try and use a mixture of airsoft and regular bb's to add some more weight to the front. Let you know how it works.

Take a look at my thread here on the dig. I will be posting up some more pics later with the shaft out of the truck to show the whole breakdown.

i tried that on my j2/tlt... wayyy too heavy!! just airsoft alone was too heavy... the best ax-10 mod ive seen is a new chassis and suspension..

basically where the top links mount to the axle, he put a plat head screw instead of the stock one, if that helps.

I just re-checked them to be 100% working...When you assemble the upper link to the axle, put a washer behind the screw, a 3mm washer works. I found using a 3x15mm Flat or Button head screw with a smaller Stainless 3mm washer to provide me with no clearance problems and I've have no pop outs yet.
