Default Maxx Big Bore Shocks on Scorp

I have read here that some people are running these shocks on there Scorps.

I just picked some up, and have discovered that they don't have ball joints, heim joints, etc. in the aluminum cap. I have tried other caps. Stock caps, HPI caps. What are you using, or how are you getting these to work on your truck. I have used the search button with no results, so your help with this is greatly appreciated. I can try to post a pick if I am not clear in my explanation.

Thanks

if you go to lowes in the hardware section there are nylon spacers, these fit perfect and work great... I've used fuel line in the past and it makes for a tight fit... my 2¢

this is the spacer before it is cut... all I use to cut it is a razor blade

cut and installed...

Thanks for the tip. I think that will be a mod I end up doing in the future.

for me, so far so good... it put the lower links perfectly horizontal with the ground.... and cut down on the over articulation that the stock shocks allow..

Were I am crawling, I have a lot of high break over stuff. So I took the stock axail shafts and put those in the Maxx body's. Installed the stock "bottom out bumper" back onto the shafts and this gave me a 1/2 inch shorter shock than stock and a hair over a quarter longer than the Maxx shocks. I call this my black ops testing phase!!!

Nice rig!

Do you like the way it works with this setup? The Maxx shocks vs the stock shocks? Looks like you are running the stock Maxx springs, is that correct? Would you change the spring rates?
