With all that servo power without a RX pack or regulator, does it steer well? Seems with servos like that, it would need some sort of external power source. I had problems with just 1 JR900T on an EVX's BEC, then switched to a duralite regulator, and all problems went away.

No power problems at all. In fact, when the motor dies the servos still work. Only thing is that I had to upgrade to aluminum knuckles, 'cause the servos rip the plastic ones apart.

Looks 10x better with the lowered bug body. Love the paint detail too.

I like your bug bodies quite a bit better than the B-17 you started with. very nice paint and graphics. It looks cool and not to mention like a crawler now. I run the bug as well. Its very functional. I hate to say it man but when I started reading this post I thought you were building a Trophy for the shelf, not a usable crawler. I must say you done a real good job on all that posting and itemizing of the parts and what not. I was worried there for a minute or 2. But I see you saw the light and desided to get some excellent tires and a body that works along with some super electronics. And it looks as though you may have lowered it a lil. The orange springs look cool, but do they work. Sometimes the best look aint all that good for performance. But what I want to know is will it crawl. We have 3 of the ax10's and they are awesome in the rock, but we have a very low CG along with a good setup and durable parts. Sorry for the post but i call'em like I see'em. Your rig looks awesome and it has the parts thats for sure. but set up is Key. I would love to crawl against your trophy. It would be fun no dought.

Thanx guys!

It climbs like a spider. I think it's just over 6 lbs.

I lengthened the fuel tubing inside the shock to 3/4 inch (giving me just under 3" of belly clearance).
Added GH Racing knuckles to handle the servos (after ripping two plastic ones apart).
I added 9 oz. to each front wheel and 3.5 oz. to each back (still using the second 4.5 oz. battery as well).

The springs are almost perfect for a 6 lb. Rig... Another 1/2 lb. and the springs would be perfect (or cut off one coil).
