Default Newbie From MD

Newbie to the RC Crawler arena... not to the 1:1 rock crawling.

just ordered a AX10, and was wondering if there was anyone around MD that has one.?

i will be posting build pics here in a few days as progress goes on.

here is my new almost done 1:1 buggy and my old 1:1 jeep.

So anyway.... If your from MD or Surrounding, hit me up. Ive got a Huge Crawler course setup from my old Nylint 1:6 Jeep, and pleanty of room to make it bigger/harder.

Check the GTG area on the site. There are several people close!

Nice jeep!

I drive a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, Dark blue, 33's, black rims. I had a 91 pickup with sas, duals, all that ****, but had to sell it before it was done. I went to Ice Breakers this year with Appalachian and Maryland Creepers, I towed Andrew Foremans Jeep down thier, I dunno if you know him.

Anyway, the AX10 is sweet, my first crawler was a nylint also, it blows that thing away. If you wanna drive one before you get yours in, let me know. Ive got a Tekin Rebel 2, Integy 55t, Hitec 645mg, TQ3, radioshack 3300 battery mounted in the stock location(for now), Losi Rock Claws, and a Bushwacker body all hacked up. Im adding weight to the tires this week to see how much better that makes it, and figuring out the battery situation soon.

Try the aluminum bead locks from DarsticSports on ebay...heavy and good quality, no need for weight now.

WOW slow down turbo. I didn't see that you were doing a build thread. All I saw was the 1:1 talk and the location talk. Generally that would be put in chit chat. My apologies.

heck yeah man. Down that thing and get a wrenchin!!
Yeah i was super stoked to get mine. They are awesome little machines. Are you gonna Do any mods along the way? I need to tear my axles down and tighten things up. The ring and pinion are alittle sloppy so I want to put a washer behind the pinions so its pushed closer to the ring. Also I need to put a little bit of folded up tin foil in the axle slots in the locker. There is a little play there too.

Yeah, thats what I did. Heck I think thats what almost everyone did. Its cool to see how well they perform stock and how much performance you gain by doing mods.
