If you are using battery on top (stock ) location then you center gravity is too hight. I'm sure you can learn from other poster's pic.

I'm not pro on my 2.2 rig but I have change from 7cell 3000mah used to be on stock battery mount to light 3cell lipo 1320.

I'm still tweaking but I have weight on my front axle and foam is cut too..

there is plenty thread you should look

I have some pic of what I have done so far. at end of it I just played yesterday.

Is your battery at the top of the chassis still? If so, that's a lot of the problem for flipping over. There have been a few different mods for placement of the battery or a different battery that could help. Unless somethings not built correctly, you shouldn't need more articulation in that truck...

If you want more articulation remove the rubber stops on the shock and put softer springs (imo). myself I reduced the amount of articulation by adding plastic spacers on the shaft inside shock bodies. my articulation is approx 6" and seems to work fine. Make sure battery isn't on top of car. Hope this helps.

For articulation and traction I did a few things:
1) Cut my foams like cogs as well as down the center of th foam cogs I sliced them. I also drilled 3 holes in each rim to let air escape and put 3 wraps of soldering wire in the front wheels.
2) I pulled off the bottom spring cups from the shocks. This lets them ride about 3/4" lower and frees up the springs and really lets it flex.

Theres actually a picture in the back of the manual, start there and sometimes people will shave more to get the tires to behave as they want.
They will cut or shave the foam down on the sides or edges as well after star cutting it for example, to get the tire sidewall to deform more, if needed where they usually drive.

I still have to do my rear tires so when I pull them off I will take a couple pictures. Just give me a couple days.

OK, I got home and finished my other tires and wheels.

Wheels have 3 holes drilled in them (just under 1/8" each):

I got the foams into a cog taking out a chunk. Then from the side I tapered them up:

Then I sliced down the center to give them a little more added roll:

That has given me a ton more tire flex.

IMO the best mod to do is drop the bateries low on the front Axle . I made two alum... plates to sit on the front axle for the batteries . I use 2 small peices of velcro on the bottom of the batteries and on the plates . then I used the stock Axial battey straps . I put them under the Alum... plates and over the batteries . here is a few pics
