| HPI Defender Body
I want to use the HPI Defender body on my AX10. The distance between the axes of my AX10 is however larger than the cut-out on the body for the wheel position. By shifting all the links to the inner bore of the chassis frame I will get almost a 20mm shorter distance between the axes (I guess) What are other practical consequences? Will any part now pop-up more easily for example? Thanks for your advice PS: Here in Japan the AX10 is also on the market. Last two RC magazines had some topics related the AX10 and crawling in general. Really a nice kit. |

I run a defender body, but i didnt want to lose the wheelbase so i just cut up the body to make it resemble a 110 my brother built. I'm sure it wouldnt hurt anything to shorten the wheelbase but you wont be able to do some climbs you could do with the long wheelbase. here's my thread The Rover |

| Shorten the wheelbase
Ok, thank you all for your replays. I tried to shorten the wheelbase by shifting all the links to the inner bores of the frame. However the shocks colide with the frame and their free movement gets restricted. I tried out different combinations without any good result:-(. Since the angle of the links gets also sharper by shifing the links to the inner bore, the high of the chassis also increases and that's something I don't really wanted to have. So finally I made the bigger cutouts on the body Last edited by Rakuda; 11-19-2007 at 06:25 PM. |
