| Custom chassis No2
Had this drawn up on SolidWorks for a while, and finally got round to fab up one side this morning using 3mm 6082 T6, (still requires finishing). Have some plans for the link set-up?! The idea was to stand the shocks up a little and make the upper and lower links parallel, and of equal length. It will be alot narrower than the stock chassis, and will use a Delrin skid. Probably use new Axial trans and axles. What do you guys think? |

I like it, higher shock mounts will drop your ride height. I also heard that longer upper links improve handling, you adressed that also, NICE WORK! Looking forward to a report on the drivability |

Longer upper links won't improve handling. They will however keep your pinion out of the dirt on full droop.

Yes it will, it will help to prevent a certain amount of axle swing in addition to improving pinion angles throughout the range of motion. That's a pretty considerable improvement. Just remember to keep the links you plan on triangulating as parallel to the ground as possible. That chassis should work great. | |

| Thanks for the good comments guys. Don't think it would be cost effective. Probably spent about 5 hours on it allready....as the g/f keeps reminding me, lol. |
