| Body posts
Got hooked up on the body posts a fair bit today, so the first thing i did when i got home was re-mount them further up the chassis. (and re-drill the body :-(). This has moved the posts 1" higher. Plus, now they are in the narrower part of the bug body, i can cut them back 1/2". Problem solved. |

that was one of the first things i changed on mine i'm still using the betty body so i have to cut alot out to clear the guards as the posts have to go above the jerry cans |

I did that while building mine. I was told about it, and saw the advantage that it would have at the first comp I went to even before I bought mine.

That's a top paint job. Shame to hack it. If you want body low with no rubbing i found they needed cutting right back to the body.

This was one of the first things I did to my ax10 because of stength. in the stock location, you can wiggle the body back and forth alot, making it hard to get back on your wheels. whith the mounts higher up, your body has much more strength to it an the truck keeps rollin'. And of course, you dont catch em on the rocks! |
