Default Axial Comp Build-The Boss

Howdy folks,

I have a new scorpion coming and I was wondering what parts of the comp build you can do until I can get stage 2 kit?

So far this is what I've gotten for the scorpion...
Radio- JR XS3 Pro
Servos- Hitec 645MG x2 (I'm not competing and think
four wheel steering is going to be cool!)
ESC- Novac Rooster Crawler(Got it just before they
put out the goat, I hate when that happens!)
Motor- I think I want the Integy 45T Lathe (Since I
can't go brushless with the rooster.)
Shocks- I am going to stick with the stock until they
under perform or they break.
Batteries- I have a couple NiCd sticks to get started but
I plan on going LiPo asap.

All for now I can't wait to get this thing built! This will be a great winter project! Any low budget tips would be a huge help!

i agree, go lipo. this lipo fits perfectly on the front upper links and its extremely light:

thats what i run in my ax10 scorpion and it works awesome, and gives me over 35 minutes of run time with a the crawler store bm9 brush less motor.
