I can't wait to see how you run it. At least selling you my old comp chassis forced me to finish this build.

Nice build. You may want to move the link mounts under the servo plates. Will help level out the top links and give you a little better articulation. Have you mounted a servo yet? I had to tweek up the front of the frame so the servo would not hit the frame when the shocks are at bottom...

Very sweet Green Hornet build! How are your RCP servo plates and linkage working out? What setup did you settle on?

Red Rockcrawler 02-16-2008 07:23 PM

Well went to play at Dave A. shop. Came home with a skid plate and strong wheel pins, drill bit thanks dave.

Now on to the titanium skid plate. We changed the design since we found out that .025 titanium sheet can't be bent 90 deg or it breaks.

This stuff is really hard to bend.

Well this what we came up with.

I left my links on the top because they are level that way. I'm running mine a little bit more forward than it should be.

Thanks, I decided to run mine on the bottom with my stock Axial chassis....they were more parallel and geometry looked better that way. I'll find out tomorrow.

Red Rockcrawler 02-17-2008 01:07 AM

I'm running a 60/40 set up on mine to get alot of the weight forward.

Red Rockcrawler 02-23-2008 01:07 PM

Well it all ready for the comp tomorrow. I don't have the new painted panels done yet so I just sprayed the outside of the old ones and bolt them on.

The titanium skid plates first rock rash from my little pile of rocks.

That is just beautiful. I am jealous cause I don't have the money for a Hustler right now! Nice job!

Looks nice, let us know how the Ti skid works.

Red Rockcrawler 02-23-2008 08:14 PM

Well from the little bit of testing I did today it worked really well

Tanis 02-23-2008 08:32 PM

Looking forward to seeing how well it performs tomorrow at the comp"thumbsup"
Should I bring Britt and let her run my Blackjack without dig.....that should even the playing field:lol:.....wait, that means she'll beat me too, nevermind:twisted:

I really like how it came together8)

Red Rockcrawler 02-23-2008 08:41 PM

Red Rockcrawler 03-16-2008 02:03 PM

Thanks yeah the up close pics come out blurry. It was fun taking down that sw3 on that line.

Tanis 03-16-2008 07:50 PM

Let's be sure and say that was the only line you took me down on:-P:-P:lol::lol:

Red Rockcrawler 03-17-2008 01:21 AM

Yeah there was only one or 2 trouble lines for the low ground clearance. But the sw3 is gone and you have come to the hustler side.

rckcrawler 03-17-2008 02:52 AM

Sweet looking Hustler, the video was great also

BMAC 03-25-2008 06:54 PM
