|  tranny and link slop
I got a new to me AX-10 that was claimed and looks to be lightly used. I immediately noticed two issues. The shaft that the spur is attached too is very sloppy, at least more than I am used to. Is that normal for the kit? I am thinking about replacing the bearings on that shaft to see if that helps. Also the upper link mount on the axle is very sloppy, like the plastic part got enlarged when the ball was pressed in. Again is this normal? I wish that part could be bought without buying the axle housings. I might have to go with the CKRC aluminum one. |

The upper link is known to woller out like that....most ppl just put washer on the screw to prevent it from popping off. As for the spur shaft, I do not recall anyone else complaining about slop. I know mine went together good and has no problem at all. I would take it apart and see if it is assembled correctly. If you have the manual, that would be a big help.

I am definitely going to open up the tranny and see what's up in there. Probably go with the aluminum link mount.

I have the alum. mount on my rear axel and it is great. I think it has helped with any torque twist problems I had as well.

the boomerang link plate works well (previous setup popped of on me), and it got rid of my torque twist as well

My spur had lots of slop because I put a bearning in the wrong spot, was for the spur gear shaft and it goes inside the tranny....I put it on the outside pressed in nice and looked like it was supposed to be there and gave enough slop that it would walk off the motor gear. Missed it in the instructions  .
