| Deadbolt to UGC Fastback II
I had a deadbolt a year or two ago and had it pretty well setup. I traded it to a buddy for some atv stuff. I was wanting another one and picked one up from another friend. After making a few changes I decided to do the Fastback II. I was just not happy with how top heavy the deadbolt was in some spots. Here's a few picks of the new setup. I'm new to the more custom stuff rather than just the bolt of stuff for the deadbolt so I'm definitely open to advice or suggestions. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

Nice. Reminds me of c3po naked. What are you going to use for covering? Definitely need something to protect that lipo from getting punctured and turning your rig into a fireball. ;)

I made a roof panel tonight for it. Hadn't really thought about the battery though. Perhaps I may need to invest in a hard pack for my next battery. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

Or wrap it in a dvd case: pretty sure that's what China does. Lol

It's a rough draft. I'll end up making a nicer one. But here it is. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

Question for you, I see guys using the different link plates for the upper links on the axle. Usually mounting them up a little higher and away from the center/stock location. What is the purpose? Is it something I should consider doing? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk | |

you should fit the servo under the plate. so you can mount your receiver or battery above the servo. and then your esc could be on the other side of the pumpkin.

I may eventually try that. It would definitely help get all of the weight low and forward. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

I got the top on it and made a plastic cover for the battery. Also been trying different setups with the rear upper links. I really need some black zip ties too. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

I've been reading a little on the 4 link setups and testing some different combos on a piece of plywood at about a 52 degree angle. First I tried it with my softer springs and the rear upper links in the factory spot on the axle. It would lift the left front tire almost 2" off the board. I swapped to heavier springs and it helped a little but still lifted. I put my upper plate on that I made and added a few spacers to get some good separation between the links at the axle. It made a huge difference. The rig stays planted and will climb right up the board. I haven't taken measurements or figured any of the math out for any anti-squat or anything, just trial and error. I'm thinking about moving the upper links in a little to see what that does. I feel like this plate is probably not gonna last a super long time. Looking at getting the D-lux rear truss/link mount. Oh, I also upgraded to some Voodoo's. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
