Wow great job on this chassis, the configuration of how everything is laid out is spot on!! How much overall weight dose this add? Would you recommend a shorter wheelbase? An last annoying question is there a mount for a sway bar

We're not sure on the weight difference between the BGR chassis and the stock plastic chassis. When the BGR chassis is 100% completed, we can weigh both and see what the difference is.

Wheelbase is gonna be up to you, and what the rig will be primarily used for. It will accept a Wraith skid, if you wanna use Wraith length trailing arms.

Yes, the chassis comes standard with the sway bar mount.

Hope this answered your questions!

BGR, this here is a great piece of work. I appreciate your welds, having tig welded an aluminum chassis recently. Getting inside the cage to complete the welds is a real mother. Do you use 6061 or 6063? I'm also guessing .023 on the filler rod. Finally how badly did it anneal after the welding was complete? I had to go back thru and work harden mine which sucked. Great fab work there.

What aluminum tubing is it made from? Hollow or solid? What diameter? Also, is it welded or brazed? Please and thank you.

TIG-welded, 6061 aluminum, got that from reading the thread. I imagine your other questions might be answered more quickly if you email BGR Fabrications - the address is in a couple of the posts...

Yes, it's TIG welded, 6061 solid aluminum bar. 1/4" diameter.
