so we went out today check out the new rig. it has lots of new found power(over the stock set up) with the hh 3500. crawls nice with the 2 speed. but still not as fast as I like to go.. that just me. so I came home with the need for speed... few idea's.. gearing???? then it hit me.... yeti xl.... motor and trans... will it fit.. Yes a few mods, motor plate im in.. or will the mm 2200 fit on the bomber trans... oooooo yes, bolts up no mods... ran it on 3s now we have the speed. 2 speed works so nice for the slow stuff. will wire it up for 4s tomorrow...

Lol... You beat me to it. I'm running the exact same setup on my Slash and was this close to moving it over to the Bomber just to try it out. If I had a 4s battery that would fit I would have done it. Can't imagine it working out to well though. I'm still trying to find a good suspension setup for the 3000kv pro4 HD I'm running now. Can't seem to keep this thing from flipping over. Just doesn't handle speed too well. To be expected I suppose.

I run it in my slash also love it.. so far its doing just fine on 3s in the bomber. 4s will fit. one 2s on each side next to the doors.. I will post up how it runs on 4s.. but im real happy with the 3s. more runtime will tell..

Nice. I'm going to remove my interior tonight. Maybe run a piece of flat plexiglass across the window sills. I just want a little more breathing room under there. Not worried about scale looks. Gonna have to try the (x2) 2s and see if i can't make it fit with the batteries I have. I have a 4s for the slash, but it's way too big for the Bomber. I'm stationed in okinawa, Japan. Only one car shop on island, and they specialize in drift cars. VERY limited lipo options, and you can't ship them USPS. Only reason I have the batteries I do is because I made a trip back to the states for work and flew back with some lipos in my carry on. Sucks. Last edited by smittycm; 12-27-2015 at 01:51 AM. |
