Default Homemade Trailing Arms

I've been working on this all morning. I have a few tweaks before it is done. Then, I have to clean them up a little before I paint them...and build the other one.

Damn, that's sweet. I wish I could make my own parts. I like the rough look, maybe a flat clear coat? What material is that?

Thanks. I've had this idea in my head since I pulled the Bomber out of the box. I have a bunch of steel that I got out of the recycle bin at work. I used sheet steel and the wire they use to reinforce concrete pipe. I wanted the arms to look smooth, so I ground down the welds. I plan to paint them black.

I'm pretty much done with this one except for the paint. Now, I gotta build another one. I hope I can repeat what I did with this one.

Thanks. I press them in and they kinda click in place where the two pieces of sheetmetal come together.

Looks great, only worried of the plastic bits wearing quickly. Let's see the other one!

It could wear, but I wouldn't think it would wear the plastic much. We'll see tomrrow when the other one is done. I have to do some minor grinding before it's ready. I'm going to try to have them ready to test tomorrow. I'm about worn out today.

This will be the only pair I will build. If I ever need another pair, I'm going to buy them.

What the heck. I went out and finished them up and bolted them on. I also went out and ran the Bomber around the driveway. They seem to be working. Time will tell...
