Already have the DMG tire relocation bracket and Vanquish Antirock sway bar mounted up. Will post more soon when the rest arrives! Going all out on this build. Last edited by Rjohn929; 06-30-2017 at 08:43 AM. |

So I got my Blue Monkey link kit, Holmes power, SSD wheels, BFG's and Protek servo in. Going to try to get some done today but the axles are at a standstill while I wait for lockers that work. Must have got an early batch of Incisions as they do not fit my HD gears. I have a set of Grip Fabs floating around that I can't seem to find anywhere. Figures, I knew exactly where they were until I needed them. More pics tonight. Last edited by Rjohn929; 03-25-2016 at 08:50 AM. |

I also had an incision locker that didn't quite fit my HD gears. Was able to force it in with a pair of vice grips. Still was a pain

I thought about forcing it but I would rather have them send out some replacements. I could always try to file them down later if I don't get anywhere with Vanquish. Still waiting on a reply from them.

Was busy last night and got into a groove. It's a runner but still needs some tuning. I flipped the servo after I reversed the mount to get the arm to clear the diff housing. I was hoping not to have to trim the bumper for servo clearence but I had to anyway. No big deal. Front shock springs are way too stiff and I would like to run dual shocks. Not sure what I'm going to pick up for that. Maybe some more Powerstrokes. The Holmes 3500XL is quit nice! Tons of power and with the 15t pinion is also very fast. Going to have to upgrade the slipper very soon. I put 22.5 shock oil all around for a starting point, seems to be just right for the rear but those springs are also a tad to heavy. It sits at rest just a little too high for my liking so... spring kits are on the way to tune it up. Anyway, here are some pics. Also have some carbon fiber panels on the way along with some lights, gotta have some light! That's it for now. I'll got some more pics after I tune the suspension a little and some video when I get out on the rocks. Last edited by Rjohn929; 06-30-2017 at 08:43 AM. |

Looking great, very nice parts you are using. Let us know what you think of the new F9 Axles please.

Not quite what you have but it should do the trick. The F9's are pretty sweet. They look awesome and are machined very well and the sway bar link is perfect. The real downside is that there is no easy way to get to the gear. The whole axle has to come apart to add some grease or inspect for wear (lots of screws). I also had a problem with the STRC motor mount. I had to sand down the ends to get it grip the motor. At first the motor would just spin when it was tight. I also used Holmes lockers as Vanquish never responded to my email about there's not fitting my gears. Maybe I'll have to use SSD from now on. Kinda sucks as I was supporting them through the whole debacle. We'll see what happens next week. Last edited by Rjohn929; 03-27-2016 at 08:03 AM. |

Talk to harley about those incision lockers. He might be able to push something through. I'm not sure but I know he helped design them and is in cali now working with Vanquish. Idk he may or may not be able to do something. Doesn't hurt to try though. TraneDrift |

Fronts are blue upper and lower springs and rear is the way they come out of the package, green upper/yellow lower. I have 15wt oil in both sets of rears and 20wt in the front. I have a few sets up front powerstrokes I thought about trying on the front but it sits pretty good the way it is. I also rebuilt them all with green slime to help prevent leakage.

The build looks excellent, nice work. Let us know when you get those F9s on some rocks and how they do. Specifically, how much does it feel like the diffs are grabbing onto everything. I'm ordering up one of those lightbars too from onetoomanyrcs. Those look awesome especially for the price.

Thank you sir! Thinking about doing a B1B too. I had it out for a short period and find the aluminum on the axles hangs up a lot (just need to hit everything with a little more trigger). To me the plastic slides much better. Maslin thought they didn't really make a difference so take it with a grain of salt. |

I really like Protek servos. I haven't had any problems with the three 130t's, two 170t's and one 170s I have throughout my trucks. The Chad Bradley editions are super strong and fast.
