Default Bomber built- brushless question

Hey all,

So for the first time in IDK 30 years I built another RC. It took longer but the Bomber is done. It is mainly for my daughter hence the driver and color.

It wasn't too tough, but accessing the radio box is a huge pita and I learned what happens when the differentials aren't opposite.

My question is this: When the car is going fast and you let off the throttle fast the drag brake kicks in at the default 50%. It makes a funny noise, like someone flicking a tight spring. It does this in forward and reverse. If you let off the throttle very slowly this does not happen.

So is this just a function of the brushless motor? I've not used one before. It doesn't sound as if the noise is coming from the gears etc, it sounds like it is coming from the motor maybe. It has a HH Puller Pro motor and the coresponding ESC.

Any input appreciated. Thanks!

Yes it's normal. I think it sounds cool personally. Kind of a "zzzzooonggg" noise.
