Default why I'm disappointing with this particular vanquish purchase

(meant to say dissapointed) So, I bought some Vanquish Aluminum Yeti Trailing Arms VPS07351, (same part number as the bomber), vanquish supplies the wrong hollow balls, and I tried using the VPS08320 Brass Pivot Balls of course they don't fit. Those brass pivot balls are the proper width to fit properly on the skid plate and the upper link mount, the balls they supply are too narrow. Not very pleased...

Thanks
-Spence

What do you mean by they don't fit?

The VPS08320 are the brass vanquish hollow balls that are wider to accommodate the axial bomber lower link mounts and upper link mounts that are a little wider than say a typical traxxas revo 5347 hollow ball.

I couldn't get the wider brass VPS08320 hollow balls to fit in the axial yeti/bomber vanquish links. The 2 piece design with the little keeper with the screw and a set screw.

I'm trying to setup some spacers to address this issue.

even the VPS08320 fit loose in the shock mounting area on the arms :(

(Harley works for VP). He’s likely asking you to describe what you mean by the balls not fitting. What happens when you try and assemble the arm? Is the ball too large and you can’t assemble it? Is the ball too small and is loose? Is it a width issue? Try and be a little more specific. Photos help too.

While I prefer the frenched rod-end approach on my trailing arms (SSD, and especially JEC Racing/SuperShafty)...

I've never heard this particular complaint directed towards Vanquish arms.

I took pictures but rccrawler makes it difficult to insert photos

Yeah the issue is the 2 piece link when you want to assemble it with VPS08320(wider brass hollow balls) supposed to be the same as revo rod ends but axial width.

Those are just too tight, but the included ball ends fit good on the links but are sloppy when you install them on the bomber skid plate so I need washers just a pain...

aw... and i was about to order one to replace my china made ones hehehe

i am using revo ball joints right now, so if my understanding of your issue is corect... if the stock ball joints are too narrow (are loose?) then adding damper o-rings will fix your issue, shims would be a pain to install.

The brass balls are the same dimensions as revo other than they're slightly wider between the flats. It sounds like you're adjusting the backlash on the trailing arms too tight and binding the balls

Sounds like the vanquish pivot ball that come with the trailing arms are too narrow and loose in mounts on skid and axle so he tried the brass pivot balls that are wider but the ball is also bigger and didn't work with the trailing arms

Exactly, I got it to work with some custom 3d printed spacers but what a pain! Just kind of a warning that they are a bit of a pain to fit to a bomber, they are the same part number as the one for a yeti...

Not trying to sound like a total jerk about the whole thing I got it to work, revo rod ends and axial style ball ends are way different. VPS08320 solves that issue but they don't fit in the vanquish yeti/bomber trailing arms as they are just way too tight. Well probably cause they're advertised for revo rod ends, I thought it would work though.

I’m the sale issue with Incision SS Wraith link INCIRC00040 when I install in Vanquish Truss VPS04311.

Ball ends have side play and I must need to put a M3 washers for a proper fit. It’s crazy 2 different parts from the same manufacturer need a washer to work.

I contacted to Vanquish and the solution pass to buy one set of brass pivot balls with the correct width

VPS08320 should solve your issues, they fit in revo rod ends(a lot of times vanquish uses revo 5347 rod ends) but they're axial spec width so it all works
I have a bunch of them
