Default Would you buy a Bomber?

I am considering a Bomber 2.0, just for cruising around. Don't know why I am so fond of this particular rig, just catches my eye. Yea or nay?

Prepare money and time for upgrades
The RTR is cheapo compared to the old 1.0 kit...

Anyone else? Looking at $300, 2s battery and charger included. Good shape. Buy it?

It's a typical axial RTR
Sintered gears
Dogbones shafts
All plastic shocks
Weak servo
Cheapo motor and ESC

I really like the look and at least I think they put aluminium links, good tires and plastic beadlocks.

The driveshafts are good too and you can build the plastic housings to be strong.

I would buy it. My 1st gen scx10 jeep is still bone stock except for the motor. Still going strong. I haven't been easy on it but I dont drive crazy either.
Hoping to find a deal on a bomber also.

After watching Randy Slawson win KOH again this year, I’ve been wanting one just a little bit. I don’t think I’ll actually buy one, but if I saw a great deal, I’d definitely pause and think about it.

Nope. After dropping upwards of $2k into mine in a short amount of time it's basically sat ever since. I don't have another rig that gets used less than it does.

WT, I get that. Also, I can recall yours will give a top fuel dragster a run for the money, right? And I recall watching a video of one of your rigs doing the impossible climbing a rock, which is your bias if I recall correctly. I have desert racing/KOH terrain, so I'm kinda the inverse of your theme. Fast as fawk, or something like that....

3500xl on 4s so it scoots but it's geared down to be controllable-ish. I live in the desert so I have the same terrain available for it but it's just not a great platform. It looks killer but the cage is huge and heavy so it spends more time with the rubber side any way but down than I like.

I do enjoy impossible climbs though, you're right on that. The technical climbs that are bounty worthy are my jam for sure. But speaking of dragster I just got my no prep car running last night. Time to go really fast.

Here are some pics, comparing it to my scratcher. I now need to generate cash for my mechanic, so I will finish the body I have just started and for sale it goes, along with my Capra. Oh well.

Have you tried running with it? You should try running with it, tons of fun there. Scale Ultra 5k's are some of the funnest events I've ever done with a bomber. Although, I am eyeing a Lasernut car for the next race in June for some reason
