Default stock shocks

Im seeing alot of people not using the stock dual spring and reservoir setup why is that?
Is it just because its just for looks or is there a real reason?
Im going to be doing alot of snow, mudding, crawling, trail rideing in this rig so what would be the best setup for me?

Anyone using the stock chocks are using the dual spring. It's just the end cap that you have choice with so it's either with or without the resevoir. I went with.
