| Harley's Descender SCX-10 So it was finally time for me to build up my SCX-10. I brought it home last night after receiving it from TCS: http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Axial-SCX...7-p-17141.html I had almost no plans for the build, just wanted to get it put together and go at it little by little. I really wanted a scale rig that I could just bash around. This is not a build that I am going to try and replace my FJ with. I had a Proline 1:10 Descender body here (Thanks B) that I wanted to use on it. So last night I got home around 5:30 and worked solid until it was completely assembled and body mounted. I went to bed around 1:30. I took a quick picture with my cell before I went to bed. So tonight I decided to jump on the paint. If any of you have seen my paint before then you are missing out. In my last attempt to paint a body I literally got peanut butter in the paint job.... So this one is a little better but by no means amazing. Just a quick paint job to get me covered for awhile. My camera died now and I am tired. I will get some good outside shots tomorrow if it isn't raining. |

I need to cut the rear frame off now because this body is much shorter than the stock body. |

This is the next addition, ordered from TCS today: http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Hand-Brot...t-p-17365.html Chassis Mounted Servo system from Hand Bros. This gets the servo up on the chassis and converts the front suspension to a 3-link with panhard. VERY COOL! |

i just got the hand bros chassis mounted servo conversion and it's a nice setup. the fit and finish on this thing is worth every penny. they really did their homework with this one. one thing though, if you leave out the shocks dampeners in the front, it doesn't matter. the panhard bar and 3 link interferes with full articulation. the 3 link mount hits the back radio box srew mounts and the panhard bar hits the top of the diff case. if you leave the shock dampeners in, it will not hit at all. just a heads up.

Well I stopped at my favorite scale spot on my way home from work today. I drove a pack through the rig and am really digging the handling. I didn't have anything waterproofed but could hardly help myself from splashing around. Here are some pics from the run. |

| looks great Harley, you just might be ready for scale nats now. 1.9 scale class and 2.2 pro class. Now you need a 2.2 scaler. |

That looks great! Think you can take a pic or two with some 2.2 Flat-Irons on there? I just wanna see how the size compares to that body. Loving the green. |
