| Grims Ambusher re-do
WellI saw bagders build and wanted to take another stab at my ambusher. I repainted it using the same color scheme I used before but followed Badgers masking technique. I used silver (diamond plate, speedo, and shifter) black (seats, deck, steering wheel) and white (body). I also used Prolines roof rack, scale items, flat irons, and Axial 1.9 beadlocks. I have a new decal sheet comming from Proline and the decals that are on are only temporary. I know my SCX10 is not as "scale" as some of the other trucks on this site and my hat goes off to you because there are some amazing builds on this site, but this is my 1st scaler and kit I have ever done so give me some slack. |

no need to cut you slack! lokks good other than the hi-ift jack on the tire! needs to be moved and straped to the side of the cage or on a bar somewhere

Thanks guys! I have been looking for some other scale items to go into my roof rack and even some scale bungie cords that will help me strap down some items. Anyone know of any sites? or places? ****EDIT**** I found some! I ordered the Beer Keg, Lantern and a set of mini bungie cords. http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Scale-Parts-p-1-c-255.html Last edited by grimgard; 05-06-2009 at 08:56 PM. |

i used a somewhat similar teqnique as badger. i went with the indy silver for my cgr scout. i painted the entire body underneath then cut out and removed the overspray film on everything i wanted black. i left the film on the diamond plate, shifter piece, and gauge cluster. i contacted proline for the cgr decal sheet and it arrived at my house within 4 days or so. it is now complete with the seatcovers and dash gauges. i'm still undecided on the roof rack at the moment.

| If I lowered it then it would rub to much. ***EDIT*** Scartch that I was able to lower it about 1/2" and I noticed that my wheel wells do not line up with the tire 100% Not sure if I made a mistake mounting it or if its just off and I need to shorten the rear links. No idea how to do that so I can live with it being slightly off. The last thing I want ot do is make more mounting holes in the body. Last edited by grimgard; 05-07-2009 at 11:20 PM. |
